CHURCH READERS The following are the readers at Masses this weekend Freddie Ward at the 7pm on Saturday night and Aileen O’Dwyer at the 10am on Sunday morning.

BLACKROCK GAA NOTES  The club lotto was won on December 5 for the third time in as many months.  The winning numbers drawn were 2, 12, 16 and 19. The lucky winner was Ann O’Sullivan, Deebert House in Kilmallock, promoter Sean O’Sullivan her son. Congratulations to Ann. On December 12the lotto will be in McGraths bar for the jackpot of €2000.00. As we look forward to 2019 we have an offer of a weekly lotto ticket – for the 50 weeks of lotto for €100 including club membership or social membership which is membership of the walking track. Best wishes to the Limerick Senior hurlers as the 2019 season starts on December 14 with a match against Tipperary in the Gaelic Grounds in the Co-op superstores Munster hurling league.

CHRISTMAS PARTY The Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party was held in the Community Centre on Sunday last 42 people attended, slight down on last year as a number of people could not attend. It was another one of the great days for our seniors a lovely meal by Mint Catering, Bulgaden and well over two hours of music and song by Ger Moloney, and a number of guest entertainers, Gavin Farrell, Dromcolloher, and locals Margaret Wallis and Noel Kennedy. The event was organised by the Community Council who wish to thank all the people that supported the event.
