BLACKROCK GAA NOTES  There was no winner of the club lotto held on the November 29 in the Greenwood Inn, Ardpatrick.  The numbers drawn were 11, 24, 27 and 28. The €40.00 went to Siobhan O’Sullivan, Lower Main St, Kilfinane, promoter Breda Walsh. €20.00 went to Sinead O’Meara, Ballinanima, promoter Donie O’Sullivan. €20.00 Paddy McDonnell, Brook Cottage, promoter Breda Walsh, €20.00 Vinnie O’Dea, Mountain View, promoter O’Shaughnessy’s Bar. €20.00 Alan and Caroline Walsh, Treada na Ri, promoter Breda Walsh. On Wednesday December 5 the lotto will be in O’Shaughnessy’s bar for a jackpot of €2,600.00. Blackrock GAA AGM was held on Friday November 30 and Hugh Murphy was elected as Assistant Secretary and Peter O’Sullivan was elected as Assistant Treasurer, all other Officers re-elected. Congratulations to Liz Hennessy who has become the new Chairperson of the Limerick Camogie Board, and Congratulations to Martin Hennessy who came eight in the Last Desert Antarctica 2018. Congratulations to Ardpatrick Development projects on a very successful Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday December First, congratulations to former club officers Pat McGrath and Maura Quane on winning the overall competition, and to Liam Walsh and Ciara Moloney who won the best dancer.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Ardpatrick Development Projects (ADP) fund raiser, Ardpatrick Strictly Come Dancing in the Park Hotel, Charleville, has been a phenomenal success. Ardpatrick Community through Ardpatrick Development Projects would like to give a big thank you to all the dancers, for the phenomenal funds that they raised. A big thank you to those that sponsored dancers, taken out advertising in our programme, sponsored spot prizes or supported us in any way. To everyone who bought sponsorship lines or programmes, bought tickets for the event and votes on the night thank you very much. Thanks must also be given to the venue The Park Hotel, Charleville and their staff for their cooperation. Thanks to the professionals who put this wonderful show together, Antoine and his crew from “A-Live” for sound, lighting and stage and Bridget and Mary from “Shall We Dance” who worked tirelessly with the dancers over the past number of months. CHRISTMAS PARTY The Senior Citizens Christmas Party will take place on Sunday December 9 in the Community Centre at 2pm, in the region of 50 people have booked in, and music by Ger Moloney and a number of guest entertainers.

CHRISTMAS FAIR The School Parents Association will hold their Annual Christmas Fair in the Community Centre after the 7pm Mass in the Church, also on the same night the Christmas tree near the Grotto will have its lights turned on.

CARDS The weekly 45 continues at the Greenwood Inn every Thursday night at 9.15 pm, all are welcome.
