RESULTS The Premier Intermediate team came away with a significant result on Saturday 13 with a 4 point win over Feohanagh in the relegation play off. The score of 15 points to 11 was the result of an excellent second-half display and we again play Premier Intermediate next year. Congratulations to the under 14 team who won the county title on Saturday 13 beating South Liberties on a scoreline of 2-06 to 1-08. There was great excitement after the win and congratulations to all involved. The playing year comes to an end for the adult club and we would like to thank all our teams, management, sponsors and supporters. Hopefully we can build on the experiences of the year and the successes of the underage teams coming through. Roll on 2019.

HISTORY LECTURE ON BRIAN BORU The life of Brian Boru, the greatest of the Irish Kings, is the subject of the next lecture organised by the Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society. He is best remembered for his death at the battle of Clontarf in 1014, which had nothing to do with fighting the Danes as we were all taught in school. To learn the truth about this battle and Brian's extraordinary career, from being the younger son of an obscure local ruler to becoming the High King of Ireland, all are welcome to this lecture by medieval specialist historian Lenore Fischer on Monday next October 22 at 8.00pm in T.1.17, Tara Building Mary Immaculate College, SCR, Limerick.
CARDS The weekly 45 continues at the Greenwood Inn every Thursday night at 9.15 pm, all are welcome.
