The Premier Intermediate team drew with Pallasgreen in Bruff on last Friday night on a scoreline of 1-18 each. We play Garryspillane on Sunday September 9 in Kilmallock at 2pm, followed by the Bruree match on Wednesday September 12 in Kilbready at 7.30 pm. Round 6 is on Sunday September 23 in Bruff against Mungret at 2 pm, and the final round is versus Kildimo/Pallaskennry, the weekend of October 7. The Junior Camogie team of Blackrock/ Effin lost the county semi-final V Doon on Sunday September 2 after extra time by one point. Best wishes to the Limerick Junior ladies Football team who play Louth in the All Ireland next Sunday September 9.

Congratulations to Blackrock Bord Na nOg on a hugely successful weekend of sport and fun and “Liam”. Big crowds attended the annual cup matches with Blackrock winning the Denny O Dea cup, Knockainy winning the Chris Carroll plaque, Granagh/Ballingarry winning the Maurice Cahill cup, and Glenroe winning the Thomas Sheehy cup. Blackrock retained the Sheamus Ryan cup. The family fun day despite the rain was a great day, topped off by the arrival of the Liam McCarthy cup with our local hero’s Richie McCarthy and Jimmy Quilty.

ARDPATRICK DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS Ardpatrick Development Projects (ADP) had their LAUNCH on Saturday night last September 1 at the Greenwood Inn. ADP wish to thank Ardpatrick Festival Committee and the Hillside Players for their generous sponsorship of the brochures and the music on the night. BALLINVRENA SOCIAL CLUB Ballinvreena social club for actively retired returns back this Monday from 2 to 4pm.  Where we do something different each Monday.
