BLACKROCK GAA NOTES  There was no winner of the lotto jackpot, the numbers drawn were 9, 25, 26, and 27.  The €40.00 lucky dip went to Eddie O’Sullivan, Cush, promoter Chrissie O’Sullivan. €20.00 went to Kevin Griffin, Ballyhea, promoter Carmel Murphy. €20.00 to “4 of us”, St. Ann’s Terrace, promoter Centra. €20.00 to Anne O’Sullivan, Deebert House, promoter Sean O’Sullivan. €20.00 to John Healy, Kilfinane, promoter Healy’s Bar. Next lotto is on Wednesday August 29 in McGrath’s Bar and the jackpot is €2,600 all welcome. Best of luck to all our patrons and many thanks to our promoters for their support every week. The sports quiz has nearly reached its conclusion, only the football All Ireland remains and Ann Hosford remains in the lead on a score of 36, followed by Richie Murphy on 31, Gavin O’Mahony on 29, Christina Ensor on 28, Bernie Burke, Sarah Keating, George Hosford all on 27, Jim Griffin, Niamh O’Meara and Simon Hennessy on 26, the Goggin family, Margaret McGrath and Mary O’Shaughnessy are all on 25.  Well done to all who have scored highly.

The Premier Intermediate competition resumes this week and we play Pallasgreen in Bruff at 6.30 on Friday August 31. Followed by Garryspillane on Sunday September 9 in Kilmallock at 2pm. The junior B’s drew with Camogue Rovers on Saturday night 2-12 to 3-09, and we are now in the semi-final on Sunday September 2, with the final fixed for the Sunday September 9. Well done to Sean O’Neill who was in the winning team with the U15 Limerick Development team who won the Shield in Tipperary at the weekend, Jimmy Quilty Jnr played with the U16’s in Mallow. The underage skills day is on Saturday in the Sports field and the family fun day is Sunday. All welcome.  Celebrations are still going well following our All Ireland win in the senior hurling and we hope it will give us all a warm glow as the winter weather approaches.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Ardpatrick Development Projects (ADP) are having their LAUNCH on Saturday night September 1 at the Greenwood Inn at 9pm. ADP are also launching their forthcoming Strictly Come Dancing Ardpatrick as their large fundraising venture which will take place in December. Saturday night’s launch will formally announce the pairings for the dancing extravaganza.
